  • How long will the immigration health examination take ?
    Please arrive on time for your appointment and allow approximately 3 hours for your examination to be completed.
  • How long does it take for report and certificate ?
    The entire process of physical examination, test, reports and certificate will take 2 hours and after completion of the same the certificate and report will be given to you.
  • What documents do I need to bring for appointment ?
    1) Original Passport (If you do not have the original passport, please bring Original Aadhar or PAN) 2) Photocopy of the First & Last Page of the Passport(1) 3) 2 latest 35 mm × 45 mm sized colored photographs with white background not older than 3 months, without obstructing the face and resembling the current appearance. 4) Any document with your address in UK with Post Code. University/office address is also fine, For eg. offer letter, admission letter, etc if you don't have any letter, self written letter/email with UK address is also acceptable. Please ensure your passport is not expired.
  • Can I reschedule or cancel my appointment ?
    Rescheduling and Cancellation with more more than 24 hour remaining can be carried out by logging into your account on www.visamedicaltest.com under “My Bookings” Page. We won’t be able to accommodate the request for appointment rescheduling or cancellation request without 24 hour notice and will result in a charge equal to 100% of the reserved service amount. Any appointment missed / No Show will also result in a charge equal to 100% of the reserved service amount. The appointment will be updated in our system as “Service Rendered - No Show”.
  • What tests are conducted for kids under 11 years.
    Following tests are conducted - Asymptomatic screening (cough, haemoptysis, weight loss, night sweats, fever, history of previous TB). - Any history of contact within the previous year with a case of active pulmonary TB (shared the same enclosed air space or household or other enclosed environment for a prolonged period for days or weeks). - A physical examination of the child by the panel physician.
  • Is fasting required for this test ?
    No. fasting is not required for the examination. You must have your food before coming to the Centre as the process is long. In case, where further testing is advised by the Panel Physician, this would be specified beforehand.
  • Can I come for test during Periods ?
    You can definitely come for the test during the period (menstural cycle).
  • What If I forget to bring my document ?
    If you do not bring your documents as requested, we will not be able to conduct your examination and you have to book your appointment again.
  • Can I come for test during Pregnancy ?
    During pregnancy there is a risk of radiation to the unborn baby, particularly in the first trimester thus it is not recommended to do test during Pregnancy.
  • Can I request for any changes in certificate ?
    Certificate once issued will be considered final and no changes will be entertained after issuing. Applicants are strongly advised to check the accuracy of the contents on the certificate (including spelling, name, family name as written in the passport, DOB, Passport number, date, signature etc) and immediately bring it to the attention of the clinic staff for any changes/ correction if required. If at a later stage, there is a change required for the address in UK (or) visa category, a fresh certificate will be issued with additional administrative charges.
  • Is medical certificate required for kids ?
    Medical certificate is MUST for everyone, including infants.
  • Can I come for test during Pregnancy ?
    During pregnancy there is a risk of radiation to the unborn baby, particularly in the first trimester thus it is not recommended to do test during Pregnancy.
  • What should I carry while coming for the Medical?
    Carry medical reports / discharge cards pertaining to any surgery or hospitalization when available. List of medications (Prescription) for medicines that are consumed daily. If you have any chronic ailments or have suffered from Tuberculosis, you may carry the treatment summary from your treating doctor to help speed up the medical process. If you use spectacles / lenses please carry them to the medical. For lenses you will be required to remove them to ascertain your vision without correction. COVID 19 Vaccination requirement- From 1st November 2021, the Australia Department of Home Affairs has informed that if the visa applicant consents to providing COVID-19 vaccination related health information to the department, then we have to attach it to your reports. Hence if you are going to give consent you will have to get a copy of the vaccination certificate at the time of the medical examination. ​
  • What to expect at the time of Medical Examination?
    The medical will include a physical examination. You will be required to change into a gown for this examination. Ladies when examined by a male doctor will be provided a lady chaperon. All candidates above the age of 15 years will require to do a blood test for eGFR to ascertain renal function. Those with reduced renal function may require further tests. Applicant who are below the age of 15 years who have a history suggestive of renal disease will also need to undergo an eGFR test. A blood test will be done for all Permanent Migrations for HIV. Doctors and nurses will also require HIV, HbsAg and HCV test if advised by the high commission. Based on examination findings some candidates can be asked to do extra blood tests. Basic vision tests. X Ray chest for all above 11 years of age. Children 2 yrs to 10 years (for permanent migrants only) will require a Tuberculin test / IGRA. For the TT the child will need to return back to the clinic after 48 hrs for the result. Children with a positive TT test, will also require an X Ray examination. Height / Weight examination. Breast examination only for women at high risk for breast cancer or with history of breast disease
  • Is medical certificate required for kids ?
    Medical certificate is MUST for everyone, including infants. Minors (17 years old and below) must be accompanied by their parent or by a legal guardian who has thorough knowledge of the child's medical history.
  • What documents do I need to bring for appointment?
    List of Documents Required Original passport (Mandatory) Two clear Xerox copy of the First & Last Page of the Passport HAP Id No. / TRN no / Application Id. No. Kindly print your referral letter and bring it to the clinic at the time of the medical examination. Please ensure your passport is not expired. ​
  • How long does it take for the reports?
    The medical examination is likely to require two to three hours to complete. The results will be uploaded via E medicals, usually within 48 - 72 hrs. If you require them to be uploaded urgently in special cases, you may approach the doctor for this at the time of the medicals. The reports will not be shared with the applicant as per the Embassy mandate. ​
